Small Group Lessons

Small group counseling is a service that is offered to select students who require additional support in one of the following areas below. Group sessions are based on need through referrals from teachers, parents, and counselor. Parent permission must be provided for student participation. Students will be grouped by grade/age and area of need.

  • Coping Strategies
  • Accepting/Adjusting to change (Divorce, Grief, Move, etc)
  • Study Skills
  • Time Management
  • Organization
  • Bullying
  • Social skills
  • Friendship
  • Conflict Management
  • Anger Management
  • Student Leadership
  • Peer Mentoring
 
Small Group typically runs for 6 weeks. Parents will be informed when their child is being asked to participate in a group via parent permission letter and/or phone call from the School Counselor.
