About Me

My name is Lena Mabe. This is will be my sixth year at Hasty Elementary School. I have worked in first, 3rd, and 5th grade but I love working with 1st grade the most. I went to Liberty University and received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English. I have always had a love for children ever since I was a child. I found my inspiration for teaching through my 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Shari Miley. She was a women who taught you to love one another no matter what you looked like, where you came from or how you acted. This is one of the many things I hope my students learn this year. I want each of my students to set a goal and to achieve it or even go above and beyond that goal. My hope for the year is for all students to feel confident in themselves and achieve school, family and personal goals. I look forward to spending the year with you and your student.
